dear god, sometimes i wonder why people leave my by myself, I tend to do incredibly stupid things whenever i'm unsupervised, and it always seems like a good idea at that very moment, and as they say, everyone's hindsight is 20/20.

anyway, long story short, i took a sewing needle (unused) and poked at my lip for a while, opening up the scar tissue that was my lip piercing, and stuck a hoop in it.

Honestly, it went through so easily that I doubt that it ever actually healed up anyway, but the ring i have in it is way too big, so it's sitting on the wonk towards the left hand side, which is a bunch of gay. I went into Claire's today, and checked out their heinously small selection of actual body jewellery, and they had a couple of boxes of lip ones, a box of labret studs for £6 with various little interchangeable screw on balls, and a box of bcr's for £6. I really wanna get a ring this time, i would prefer it to be a smooth segment ring but I cannot find a reputable piercing store in that city, so I'm gonna probably get the boxes of stuff from Claire's, just so that i've got some that fit for the time being. They're really skinny ones too, I'd never realised how skinny it'd been pierced, and re-doing it with a sewing needle means that I'm probably around an 18 gauge, which is absolutely tiny. Luckily they come that small so it's not a problem.
